How to Get a NUIT in Mozambique (Individual and Corporate)

The NUIT is the unique tax identification number issued by the Mozambique Tax Authority. Without it you cannot invoice, hire staff or open a corporate bank account.

How to Get a NUIT in Mozambique (Individual and Corporate)

There are two types of NUIT: individual, issued to natural persons holding a valid ID or DIRE, and corporate, issued to companies once incorporated and registered with the Legal Entities Registry.

The individual NUIT usually requires a valid identification document, proof of address and the completed M/01 form. The corporate NUIT requires the commercial registry certificate, published articles of association and identification of the shareholders and legal representative.

Most delays come from mismatched data between the ID document and the form, or an incomplete tax address. When you submit through us, we pre-check every document and collect the NUIT at the Tax Authority on your behalf.
